Referral to Specialists - 'Working for the Man'


.......A more equitable process would involve us faxing the
request and documents to the specialist's office and that should be the
end of our staff's involvement if the consultation request is complete. 
The specialist physician's staff would phone the patient directly with
appointment details. ......


EMR Adoption


I started using an EMR in October 2005.  I really didn't have great
computer skills at the time, so I used Dragon Naturally speaking.  I can
input far more information into the clinical notes than I would have
done prior to the implementation but the time cost has been phenomenal......
